Come join us for George Washington Carver’s Sweet Potato Biscuits Workshop!
Join us for a hands-on culinary experience celebrating the genius of George Washington Carver, one of America’s most innovative scientists and inventors. While Carver is widely known for his work with peanuts, he actually developed more than 100 uses for sweet potatoes, including flour, rubber, and even candy! In this workshop, we’ll explore his legacy by making delicious sweet potato biscuits from scratch. Discover how Carver’s ingenuity helped transform agriculture in the South and provided farmers with sustainable alternatives to cotton. This workshop is a fun and tasty way to honor African American Inventors and Scientists Day!
