Come Sailing With Us!
As a community sailing program, one of our goals is to create accessible opportunities for individuals to get out on the water. We do this through group outing programs and through guided sails and courses.
We offer three US Sailing Courses: First Sail — a fun, informal 2-hour introductory sail with an instructor; Learn to Sail — a weekend course to learn the foundations of sailing through instruction, practice, and study to earn your Basic Keelboat Certification; and Coastal Navigation — a 2 weekend classroom introduction to pilotage and coastal navigation using traditional methods.
Learn to Sail
Sailing is a transformational experience. Whether you’re looking for a 3 hour team-building experience or a week-long overnight, we can craft a program to suit your needs. We have programs available on both our Harbor 20s and on the Schooner Virginia.
Your team will be led by our highly qualified instructors as they develop leadership skills and set sail to expand comfort zones and build camaraderie.
- Ideal for groups of 6-20 people. Teams of up to 4/boat learn to navigate their vessel safely before competing in a mini-regatta. Through this engaging activity, participants hone communication and leadership skills.
- Starts at $375/per boat for a 3-hour clinic
- Our 120-foot schooner is ideal for groups of 20-50 people. Set sail on an action-packed cruise. Select from a list of activities designed to emphasize collaboration and demonstrate how critical thinking and conflict resolution empower group dynamics.
- Starts at $4,000 for a 3-hour charter
Schools and Community Groups
Your students will be led by our highly trained deckhand/educators as they literally learn the ropes and set sail! We have a variety of educational stations you can select from featuring ecology, simple machines, maritime history, and more.
3-hour educational sails on Schooner Virginia start at just $40 per person, minimum of 20 people per sail.
