The Nauticus Collection is the only set of waterfront venues in downtown Norfolk, complete with unparalleled and awe-inspiring views, unique settings, and exceptional service for every guest. Our gorgeous settings make for incredible photo opportunities: from our 54 foot wall of windows to engaging interactive exhibits inside Nauticus to our majestic battleship, our settings will produce extraordinary memories.



Venue One

Half Moone Center

The Peter G. Decker Jr. Half Moone Center is Norfolk’s iconic waterfront venue. Nestled in the heart of downtown Norfolk with extravagant, sweeping views of both the waterfront and the metro skyline, the Decker Half Moone Center is certain to leave a lasting impression with your guests.

Grand Rotunda: 4,200 sq. ft. | Promenade Deck: 3,400 sq. ft.

The Grand Rotunda is a magical setting for cocktail receptions, wedding rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions and moderately sized luncheons and meetings. Rental for this space includes the adjacent Promenade Deck overlooking the Elizabeth River.

13,500 sq. ft.

The Vista is the central and largest space in the Decker Half Moone Center. From this magnificent room, your guests can watch the sunset over the Elizabeth River. The space is ideal for large banquets, ceremonies, wedding receptions, and holiday celebrations.

9,600 sq. ft.

The Lido Deck is the largest outdoor area available at the Decker Half Moone Center. It features golden sunsets to the west and a breathtaking view of Norfolk’s downtown skyline to the east.

Virginia Room: 1,500 sq. ft. | Bermuda Room: 1,100 sq. ft.

The Virginia Room is the larger of two conference rooms offered in the Decker Half Moone Center.  Ideal for corporate meetings, the Virginia Room is equipped with the latest in audiovisual technology for your event. 

The Bermuda Room is the smaller of two available conference rooms in the Decker Half Moone Center. The room is perfect for hosting small meetings or celebrations.



Venue Two

Nauticus Museum


Nauticus is a world-class attraction with interesting, engaging and interactive maritime exhibits that make it an exciting and matchless place to host an event. Your small or large group can be accommodated for a wide range of spectacular and unique indoor and outdoor gatherings.

Maximum seated capacity of 350.

The Power of the Sea Galleries encompasses the entire 3rd-floor event area of Nauticus, including the Living Sea Landing, the Wisconsin Vista, and the Living Sea Theater.

In this area, you can enjoy the breathtaking view of the Battleship Wisconsin through large picture windows. This area also includes a variety of computer interactives.

The area accommodates 110 seated guests or 250 standing.

The Living Sea Landing features Horseshoe Crab Cove, a simulated tide pool where your guests can interact with many of the Chesapeake Bay marine life. It is also home to the Shark Experience, an interactive shark tank filled with a variety of friendly sharks.  

With seating for up to 350 people, this location is ideal for presentations, performances, and award ceremonies. It features a large-format screen.

The Big Wisky Porch is located on Nauticus’s expansive front entrance overlooking the waterfront. Cool breezes off the river make this a delightful area to entertain.



Venue three

Battleship Wisconsin


Berthed at Nauticus, the Battleship Wisconsin is one of the largest and last battleships ever built by the U.S. Navy. Your guests will be transported back in time as they walk the teakwood decks of this majestic ship that earned six battle stars in World War II and Korea.

Seating capacity is dependent on table placement, while up to 600 standing guests can be accommodated.

The main deck of the battleship features inspiring views of the gun turrets and Norfolk’s city skyline.

Up to 250 guests can be seated in this area and up to 500 standing guests can be accommodated.

The fantail is the large open outdoor area on the aft of the battleship, perfect for enjoying the sunsets on the Elizabeth River.

Populated with period tables and chairs, it can accommodate 80 pampered guests.

The Wardroom is where officers had their meals and relaxed.

Seated capacity is 60 with standing capacity of 120.

In this area on the main deck behind the breakwater, your guests can dine under the imposing shadows of the Wisconsin’s big guns.



Venue four

Schooner Virginia


Private Charter

Charter the Schooner Virginia for a unique cruise along the Elizabeth River, this tall ship’s rich history sets the ideal ambiance for your wedding and celebrations. Ideal for groups of 20-55 people. Charters are subject to availability in May – October timeframe. Catering, insurance, etc. not included in fee, must
Pricing starts at $2,500 for a 2-hour charter.

Corporate Team Building

Our 120-foot schooner is ideal for groups of 20-50 people. Set sail on an action packed cruise. Select from a list of activities designed to emphasize collaboration and demonstrate how critical thinking and conflict resolution empower group dynamics.
Pricing starts at $4,000 for a 3-hour charter.
