Ways to Support Sail Nauticus

By supporting Sail Nauticus, you are providing a unique opportunity for the youth in our community to succeed on the water, in the classroom, and beyond.

General Donation

Your support as a donor provides the financial foundation that is needed for Sail Nauticus to maintain its fleet, docks and programs. Most impactfully, your contributions fund a free after-school sailing and leadership program for Title 1 students in Norfolk Public Schools.

Examples of how your gift can make a lasting impact:

  • $25 – Two new dock lines
  • $50 – Student log books/STEM to STERN learning kits
  • $100 – Eight new life jackets
  • $250 – New running rigging for one sailboat
  • $500 – Provides scholarship for ONE Sail Nauticus Academy graduate to the U.S. Sailing Basic Keelboat Course – This certification opens doors for students to apply for paid instructor positions
  • $1500 – Annual scholarship for one Sail Nauticus Academy student
  • $2500 – Annual maintenance for one Harbor20 sailboat
