Nauticus has a variety of volunteer opportunities available for:

  • Adults (ages 18+)

Exhibit Assistant Carpenters

Are you skilled in repairs, installations, painting, and hold a basic knowledge of carpentry? We are looking for you to volunteer Saturdays or Sundays on an as-needed-basis to assist with projects around the campus. Apply now.

 

Sail Nauticus Crew Member

Are you a master on the sea or instructing youth groups sailing skills? Our Sailing Center would love to have you help set the sails. Apply now.

Discovery Crew Member

Do you love to teach as well as learn new things about our maritime community and the environment? If so, apply as a Discovery Crew Member volunteer. Apply now.

Battleship Crew Member

Are you interested in military history, naval nobles, and maritime ports, and talking to enthused guest? A Battleship Crew member might be the best position for you! Apply now.

Guest Ambassador

Are you someone who loves to meet and greet new people as they enter the museum, take tickets, show visitors around and where to start exploring their adventure? If so, you’d make a great Guest Ambassador. Apply now.

Restore BB64

If you are a group or individual skilled in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, machinist mate, welding, Boatswain mate etc. then the Restore BB-64 volunteer assignment is waiting for you to assist onboard the USS Wisconsin! Apply now.

Accounting/Business Assistant

Do you have the interest in accounting, marketing, data entry, mailing projects, and various clerical projects? Our Business Department would love your assistance around the office. Apply now.

You will be an invaluable part of our crew! Individual volunteers must submit the online application, successfully complete an interview, a background screening (if over age 18) and attend a volunteer orientation prior to their service.
