Sail Nauticus Academy
Sail Nauticus Academy is a transformative four-year maritime science and sailing program designed to inspire and educate Norfolk’s underserved youth.
Open to students starting in 5th grade, the Academy provides hands-on sailing experiences while integrating STEM education, leadership development, and teamwork. Over the course of the program, students learn about maritime careers, water safety, and environmental stewardship as they navigate the Elizabeth River aboard our fleet of sailboats.
This FREE program aims to equip students with valuable life skills, foster a strong sense of community, and open pathways to maritime career opportunities.
