Help Raise Our Sails – Matching Gift Challenge

RAISE OUR SAILs
Campaign Goal:

On Sept. 30, we launched a matching gift challenge to Raise Our Sails. All donations up to $15,000, will be matched by our generous donor Dr. John Bowers & Family, and will be used for the purchase of new specialty-colored sails for our fleet of Harbor 20 sailboats.

With your generous support over the past few months, we have reached our match goal of $15,000 to outfit our vessels with new sails. But there is still work to do! We are just 60% of the way to our total fundraising goal of $25,000! All donations which exceed the money necessary for new sails will go towards much-needed programming supplies for our Sail Nauticus Academy operations.

Examples of what your tax-deductible donation will support:

All funds raised after the cost of new sails will support programming supplies. Gift examples include:

  • $25        Two new dock lines or snacks for 20 students for one session
  • $50        Student log books/STEM to STERN kit supplies
  • $100      Eight (8) new life jackets
  • $250      New running rigging for one (1) Harbor 20 sailboat
  • $500      New classroom projector for education lessons
  • $1,500   Annual scholarship for one (1) Sail Nauticus Academy student
  • $2,500   Annual maintenance for (1) Harbor 20 sailboat
